Al Sharpton plots a new shakedown
The notorious race grifter Al Sharpton is not happy about the scrapping of DEI programs.
Numerous companies, most notably Facebook and Amazon, have scaled back or scrapped their Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives in the wake of Donald Trump’s return to the White House.
However, Sharpton believes that doing so amounts to a major civil rights violations and that his role fighting back is as important as that of Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks.
“Why do we have DEl? We have DEl because you denied us diversity, you denied us equity, you denied us inclusion,” Sharpton said at the Metropolitan AME Church in Washington D.C. on Tuesday.
“DEl was a remedy to the racial institutionalized bigotry practice in academia and in these corporations.”
”Now, if you want to put us back in the back of the bus, we gonna do the Dr. King-Rosa Parks on you,” he continued.
In a press release posted on social media, Sharpton said his non-profit, National Action Network, will form a council with a view to boycotting said companies.
“NAN and its allies form a council that over the next 90 days will examine what companies have shirked on their DEl commitments, as well as their profit margins,” he wrote.
“Two companies will then be subjected this spring to a boycott by Black Americans, whom McKinsey estimates will have a collective buying power of $1.7 trillion by 2030.”

Whether black people actually wish to follow Sharpton’s proposed boycott remains to be seen.
Trump has made scrapping DEI initiatives, which are effectively designed to limit the number of white Americans in positions of power and influence, one of his many priorities since taking office on Monday.
On Tuesday, he directed that all federal diversity, equity and inclusion staff be put on paid leave amid plans to lay them off entirely.
BREAKING: President Trump has signed an executive order rescinding Lyndon Johnson’s EO 11246, which established affirmative action, and banning all federal contractors and publicly-funded universities from practicing race-based discrimination, including DEI.
A massive shift.
